MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
by William Shakespeare, adapted by Ross Brown
Love is in the air! A young Florentine is in love with the Governor’s short daughter, a merry war betwixt two previous lovers disguising their true feelings, and a masquerade ball is the perfect breeding ground for a villain’s scheming. Will his deception stale the air, or will it all really be Much Ado about Nothing!!!!
It is likely that the play made its debut in the autumn or winter of 1598–1599.
By means of "noting", in Shakespeare's day, sounded similar to "nothing" as in the play's title.
(hinting at the importance of gossip, rumour, and overhearing in the play)
