We are the multi-award winning Sodbury Players Youth Section, more commonly known as SPYS. We are a youth drama group for young performers aged 12-18.
We meet every Monday in Chipping Sodbury where we develop our skills in performing through a range of drama workshops and training exercises. We cover a whole variety of techniques from physical theatre and mime to classical stage craft, script work and improvisation.
Each year we have an end of year show in July at the Town Hall. Previous shows have included Beauty and the Beast, Fame and Grease. We also enter a play into the One Act Festival. Our 2018 entry ‘Bodas De Sangre’ had roaring success winning the Five Counties Youth Final as well as reaching the All England Semi Finals.
